5-DAY TRAINING WORKSHOP ON ROBOTICS


The Mauritius Research Council, in collaboration with The Ministry of Technology, Communication and Innovation and the Ministry of Education, Human Resources, Tertiary Education and Scientific Research is organising a 5-Day Workshop on Robotics From 17 April to 21 April 2017.

The Workshop  aims at promoting the use of Robotics and Programming as one of the key tools for boosting Innovation in Mauritius and its objectives are:
 
1. To initiate Mauritian Students to basic principles of Electric Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robot Programming and Artificial Intelligence through two introductory workshops on (i) Circuit Building and (ii) Robot Programming.
 
2. To provide the participants with a practical learning experience. During the workshop, each student will be given a kit which they will use to build and program a robot which they can take home and experiment further with online assistance from the resource persons.
 
 
Who can apply?
 
• Students aged 11 – 18 years old  
 
 
Why apply?
 
• To learn the basic principles of Electric and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
• To test your knowledge by building and programming robots.
• To compete for the best Robot Competition on Day 5 of the workshop.

PARTICIPATION IS RESTRICTED TO ONLY ONE WORKSHOP PER PARTICIPANT

On the 21st April 2017 the participants will show their robots to the public at the Cyber Tower 1 in Ebène – the ROBOFEST Competition.
 
A confirmation for participation will be forwarded to the applicant by email.

  •  Seats are limited to 150 per workshop.
